Hot on the news of Granit Xhaka’s knee injury, it seems Mesut Ozil is also struggling to retain his fitness ahead of the World Cup.
It’s come to light that Ozil has been carrying a back injury which could explain why he missed so much of the second half of our disappointing and disastrous league season.
Ozil has been having regular treatment for the ongoing injury during the German’s pre-World Cup training camp in south Tyrol as he battles to be fit to defend the German’s 2014 World Cup title.
It was also reported that Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich ended up fighting each other giving Joachim Low yet another headache ahead of the tournament.
