Arsenal have been in poor form lately, despite winning the last game of the season away at Huddersfield. We finished 6th in the Premier League below both Spurs and Liverpool for the 2nd time in a row.

Now it looks like the club are trying to act fast to recruit players ahead of next season to get things back on an even keel with all of the uncertainty around the club.

Sky Sports have confirmed that even without a Manager, Arsenal bosses are in talks with the agent of Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, and it looks like they’re trying to sign him nice and early ahead of a big league title challenge next term.

It was also reported that Chelsea are also showing a keen interest in the midfielder, and with his release clause thought to be worth around £40million, you’d think Chelsea would be favourites to land him.

Arsenal’s new Director of Football  Raul Sanllehi, who spent 14 years with Barcelona, has re-opened talks with the Ivorian Coast international’s agent so it yet to be seen what will happen when the window officially opens this Thursday.

I personally think Sanllehi’s vast experience across Europe should help Arsenal to land Seri and many other high-profile deals ahead of next season as we prepare for life after Arsene Wenger.
