Despite Arsenal not yet having a new Manager to recruit players for the club in the summer, the media keep linking The Gunners with a couple of names and the most recent is Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.

The 27-year-old superstar was close to joining Arsenal in the summer window of 2015/2016 season, but a move failed to happen and he signed an extension to his contract with The Foxes.

Now, the latest report in Don Balon claims that Mahrez is ‘very clear’ that he wants a move to join Arsenal this summer and he will be rejecting any offer that comes from other clubs in the favour of the Arsenal.

It was further reported that the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid are also showing a keen interest in landing him, but they might have to look elsewhere for other players has Arsenal seem to be in the driver’s seat.

Arsenal are also linked with a couple of other attacking players, with the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Anthony Martial said to be on the club’s shopping list.

Mahrez leaving Leicester will be of no surprise as he has long wanted to leave the club and Arsenal looks again to be his most likely destination. However, I suggest we cross our fingers regarding this move for now and not get too carried away with these reports when we don’t even know who are new manager will be as yet.
