Arsenal fans on Twitter have responded to Massimiliano Allegri’s tweet on the social media today, trying to persuade the Juventus boss to welcome Arsenal’s offer of becoming Arsene Wenger’s replacement.
Wenger made it officially known last month that he would be stepping down at the end of the season after a memorable 22 year spell with the Gunners and all eyes are watching to see who will come in to replace him.
Names like Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira have also been linked with a move to join Arsenal, but Allegri remains the favourite to take over.
Allegri’s side won the Coppa Italia League on Wednesday when they defeated his former club AC Milan by 4-0, which is their fourth successive Italian Cup.
The 50-year-old’s record has been nothing short of brilliant since he joined in 2014, but he still failed to lift the Champions League following two lost finals, one to Barcelona and one to Real Madrid.
Arsenal fans are desperate to see such a big name manager at The Emirates, but will have to wait and see if he will be the man to replace Wenger.
