The news about Hector Bellerin leaving Arsenal has been rife in recent weeks but it seems to be taking a bit of a different turn now.
The latest report from Goal.com has it that the Spanish international is not thinking about leaving Arsenal or joining the likes of Barcelona and Juventus, claiming he’s ‘so happy’ at with the Gunners.
“I don’t know what to say – football always changes. I’m so happy here, this has been my home for seven years. I sound like a Londoner, my friends are from London – it’s the place I want to be right now. In the future, you never know. Obviously, I grew up in Barcelona, and when I watch them play I want them to win. The team are always going to be in my heart.”
In an interview on Youtube recently, Bellerin confirmed that he would like to take over the number two shirt number at The Emirates next term.
Bellerin seems to have no intention of leaving but this doesn’t stop news outlets linking him with a move to Juventus for a deal worth upwards of £50m.
However, many believe Arsenal should sell the Spaniard after a awful displace for The Gunners this term, Bellerin also spoke about his performance this season and also the club as a whole in the following video:
“At the beginning, I was someone who was doing really well, then when things started going not that well, everything was just negative, negative, negative. As a team, if you don’t have the best season, it doesn’t help…It’s been a tough one. We were doing well until November. We always have that period where we suffer a little bit. As a team, the most important thing is results. If you can win beautifully like [Manchester] City do – even better.”
