Arsenal are reportedly set to sign highly rated Bundesliga defender, Caglar Soyuncu from Freibrug in deal thought to be around £30m. The Chairman of Soyuncu’s former club, Altinordu, Mr Ozkan confirmed a deal has been reached between Arsenal and Freibrug and the Centre Back will be moving to The Emirates next season.

Arsenal are not the only club interested in Soyuncu as he is also said to be on Bayern Munich’s radar.

In an interview granted by Ozkan he said:

Sven Mislintat is expected to come in and help solve some of the defensive problems at the club and it looks like a move for Soyuncu could be one to watch. With 50 appearances for Freiburg since joining in 2016, the club wants more than £30m from Arsenal for a player that cost them just £2.9m.

If Arsenal do eventually sign Soyuncu, the club will be able to start rebuilding the squad after the recent injury to Laurent Koscielny. The Gunners need a lot of additions to the squad if we are going to compete for honours next season it it looks like this young defender would be a good place to start for the new Manager.
