Bordeaux chairman Nicolas de Tavernost, has dropped a huge transfer hint and admitted that Arsenal target Malcom will be leaving the club in the summer, as reported by Goal.

The Brazilian attacker was the subject of interest from Premier League sides Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham in the winter transfer window, but talks of move failed to materialise with Bordeaux only willing to listen to offers for the winger in the summer window.

However, the majority shareholder of the Ligue 1 club admitted he can leave in the summer and he could be on his way to the Premier League, he said as quoted by Goal:

“There are always purchases and sales being made, and there is a major Brazilian player whom you know he wants to leave the club and we will do it in the most absolute respect of our interests,” he said in quotes published by sudouest. That’s why we first bought this player and then [will eventually sell him] in the offseason.”

It is believed the Brazilian international is keen on a move to the Premier League and he could be the subject of a two-way transfer battle between Arsenal and Manchester United with both sides keen on bolstering their attacking options in the summer.

Since moving to Bordeaux from Corinthians in the winter of 2015 for a reported fee of €5 million, he has established himself as a regular for the French outfit and he has grown into one of the finest wingers in the Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old attacker has featured in 32 games for Bordeaux this season across all competitions scoring nine goals and providing six assists.
