Following last nights’ 3-1 victory and subsequent 5-1 aggregate win over AC Milan, we have been drawn against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League Quarter Finals.
The home leg will be up first at Emirates Stadium, kicking off at 8:05pm on Thursday the 5th of April 2018, while the away leg in Moscow will also kick off at 8:05pm UK time on the 12th of April at the VEB Arena in that there Russia.
The rest of the draw, which was made this morning, is as follows:
- Arsenal v CSKA Moscow
- RB Leipzig v Marseille
- Lazio v Salzburg
- Atletico Madrid v Sporting Lisbon
The Europa League represents our only viable option for silverware this season, and also offers a back door in to the Champions League, so hopefully le Boss will be giving it everything from now on in. In the second most important European cup competition, Man City will play Liverpool meaning there will be an English side in the semi-finals this season. Spurs and Manchester United were dumped out of the competition this week sadly.
In Moscow, the away fans are advised not to take their daughters or touch any door handles whilst on the trip.
