If you are an Arsenal fan, there are some names and voices in the media that become so loud that their opinion becomes hard to ignore. One of these so called ‘superfans’ is Piers Morgan. The English journalist and a shareholder at Arsenal has called out several players he would like to get rid of as part of the overhaul that clearly needs to happen at the club.
The call for these players to leave is as a result of their poor contribution to the defeat at the hands of Brighton at the weekend which has now led to a four game losing streak. Morgan, who most/all Arsenal fans despise has always been a critic of Wenger claiming the Frenchman has overstayed his welcome at The Emirates.
The winter sales of first team players like Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud should be followed by at least seven more departures he claims.
The arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan has helped cushioned those departures but Arsenal still need more fresh blood along with another clearout of the players not deemed to be good enough for Arsenal.
The seven players listed by Morgan to be on their last season at Arsenal are Xhaka, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Koscielny, Iwobi, Lacazette, Ramsey.
Arsenal players I would sell tomorrow:
Xhaka
Mustafi
Kolasinac
Koscielny
Iwobi
Lacazette
Ramsey— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 4, 2018
Arsenal are unlikley to get rid of such a long list of players, but something definitely has to change and soon as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal career comes to an unfortunate end.
