After back to back defeats to Manchester City, Arsenal were expected to put up a fight against Brighton and Hove Albion in the next league game but this did not happen as the Gunners crashed to a fourth successive defeat.

It was another disappointing effort by the North London side as their fans were left shocked by yet another lacklustre performance after several players had taken to social media promising that things would change.

Petr Cech was scapegoated for the defeat, as he was caught napping twice and could have done a lot better to prevent both Brighton goals, the keeper later apologised to Arsenal fans on Twitter.

Fans on social media called out the 35-year-old veteran about his recent errors that have directly cost the team points as our fall from grace continues at a rapid pace.

Some of the Twitter comments below:

It is not certain what the club will decide in regards to the future of Petr Cech as he looks way past his prime at the moment, but it seems that it would depend on the Arsene Wenger situation.

If a new Manager does come in this summer, you would have thought Cech would be the first name on the long list of players who could leave, and like many of the other underperforming players at Arsenal, this could well be his last season at The Emirates.
