We played Watford this weekend without Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey, but Arsene Wenger announced before the game that they were both rested as a precaution. These omissions now mean the players will hopefully be in contention for the return leg of the AC Milan tie at The Emirates on Thursday, get all of the Arsenal v Milan betting odds here.

Wenger said:

“I made six changes. I wanted to preserve some players, like Koscielny, who has a little calf problem. With Ramsey I was cautious, Wilshere had given a lot on Thursday night, we had a very physical game on Thursday…”

Mesut Ozil got a kick to the ankle against Watford, which Wenger said on Arsenal.com: ‘looks alright’, while Shkodran Mustafi limped off with a groin problem and will be assessed this week ahead of the Milan game on Thursday.

In better news, Wenger revealed Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal could return after missing a few games with their knee and back problems.

We are already 2-0 up in the tie so a win or a draw would see us ease into the quarter finals of the competition which remains our only chance of silverware left this season.
