The Daily Mirror claims that Alexis Sanchez has left Arsenal and said goodbye to his team mates in late night drama ahead of today’s game against Crystal Palace.

The cash/player swap deal with Manchester United which sees midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan coming to The Emirates has been dragging on all week with most Arsenal fans just wanting to see the deal done, before they get betting on casinofreespinsclub

The Mirror claims that Sanchez will have his Man United medical today after a ‘late night breakthrough’ meant Sanchez was removed from the Arsenal squad to face Palace.

It’s also claimed that Mkhitaryan has said goodbye to his Manchester United team mates, and left in tears (tears of joy?) so it looks like the move is nearing completion. It really sounds like Mkhitaryan isn’t massively keen on the move to Arsenal, rumours that it’s his move which is holding up the deal, and who can blame him at the moment. We are in a poor run of form, players leaving and out of contract, injuries galore along with the unrest amongst the Arsenal fans. Fingers crossed he sorts out his issues and joins us next week and we can get the deal over the line.

Manchester City were favourites to land Sanchez until as late as last week, but they pulled out of the deal, citing enormous wage demands as the reason for their backing out.

It’s rumoured that Sanchez will earn around £500,000 a week at Manchester United, playing under Jose Mourinho, and when a rich club like Man City are refusing to pay silly money, you know there’s something wrong with football these days, Chelsea were also rumoured to be joining the race for Sanchez earlier in the week as the demand for his signature heated up.

City had hoped to land the Chilean last summer, but left their move too late, Arsenal failing to land Monaco’s Lemar as Sanchez’s replacement and both deals fell through.

Hopefully we can get the deal done early next week and then Akers can turn his attention to landing the big one, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund, a true consolation as a Sanchez replacement. There are rumours that Dortmund are playing hardball in London this weekend, and want everyone’s favourite Frenchman; Olivier Giroud as part of the deal.

On the field, we play Crystal Palace this afternoon, and the rumours are that Danny Welbeck will miss the game due to an injury picked up in training late this week.
