In another frustrating Premier League fixture, we dropped yet more points despite having the lions share of possession and the bulk of the chances.

We were caught cold again, like against Manchester United when Charlie Austin netted after just five minutes and we were lucky it wasn’t more as we were half asleep for the first 20 minutes.

We finally settled but couldn’t score despite numerous changes, Fraser Forster making some excellent saves to preserve the Saints lead, one amazing save from Aaron Ramsey at his post.

As the game drew on, the largely disappointing Alexis Sanchez floated in a hopeful cross which substitute Olivier Giroud glanced across Forster and into the corner for a late equaliser to send the away fans wild, but sadly despite our best endevours, we could snatch a winner.

Giroud now has 17 Premier League substitute goals, the same as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and our very own Kanu, while Jermain Defoe remains the leader of the pack with 23 goals coming from the bench. Check out the full list here (which is a bit out of date).

Not only were we denied a couple of penalties, but we could have won it at the death only for our quick counter attack to be thwarted by a tactical foul right before the final whistle which signalled another two points dropped on another disappointing day for Arsenal.
