According to TransferMarketWeb via The Daily Star, we are moving ever closer to signing Lyon star Nabil Fekir.

StarSport claim that ‘talks are underway’ about a move for a £60m deal to being the Frenchman to The Emirates and despite interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid he looks likely to join Arsenal. They say that he’d be a direct replacement for Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean looking no closer to extending his current deal at the moment so could still leave in January.

However, with that in mind, Arsene Wenger has said today that neither of our out of contract stars will leave in January, with Ozil and Sanchez almost now looking certain to remain Arsenal players until the end of the season.

It’s been reported that Fekir wants an Arsenal move and his father has also said that his preference for a transfer would be a move to The Emirates to play under Arsene Wenger.

With all of the recent comings and goings this week behind the scenes, it looks like exciting times ahead at Arsenal, could a deal for this 24 year old Frenchman be the first one our new back room boys team up to complete? It would be a real showstopper and statement of intent if they could pull it off, especially in the January window.

On the pitch a win tomorrow tonight could see us cement fourth spot after Tottenham lost to Leicester tonight, meanwhile next weekend’s opponents Manchester United ran out 4-2 winners at Watford. We play Huddersfield Town at home as we bid to build on some excellent recent wins – team news here.
