Midfield maestro Mesut Ozil faces a race against time to be fit for our game against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
Ozil sat out of our win over Burnley with ‘illness’ and was thought to be short for tomorrow’s game, but in this morning’s presser, Arsene Wenger said they will assess him after training later to decide whether he can play.
Alex Iwobi has a dead leg and is also a doubt, which could all point to Jack Wilshere starting against The Terriers.
Wenger said via Football London:
“Ozil is planned to practice today. We make an assessment after the training session. Iwobi got a dead leg, we are not sure he will be available. Everybody else should be available. Santi Cazorla of course is still out…”
As (almost) exclusively revealed on ArsenalShorts last night, Theo Walcott returns after a couple of weeks out to warm the bench, leaving Santi as the only player out.
A win for us and United tomorrow could mean if we win at the weekend, we could close the gap on Mourinho’s side to just 1 point and really put the pressure on the so-far-unbeaten Man City.
