Real Madrid continue to slip in their hope of defending their La Liga title as they were held to a 0-0 at Atletico Madrid this weekend. With Karem Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo not scoring again, the Los Blancos are looking at luring Arsenal’s star player, Alexis Sanchez to try to help bring some goals to the side.

The 10 point gap between them and Barcelona has not been easy to take for the club top management who are becoming increasingly frustrated.

Spanish media outlet, Soy Madridista are reporting that Real Madrid have “started talks” with representatives of Sanchez, no surprise that they are willing to capitalise on the failing contract saga between Arsenal and Sanchez.

Everyone believes that Sanchez will eventually leave Arsenal and it could be as early as January when Sanchez will be free to speak to foreign suitors and Real Madrid will be hoping to take advantage of the opportunity.

The 24 goal in 38 game striker was on target again for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday. With Asensio being the highest goal scorer for Real Madrid in the league with four goals, Ronaldo and Benzema are finding goals hard to come by.

Getting a player in the shape of Sanchez could help them recover before the gap becomes wider and Soy Madridista are quoting a fee in the region of €20m as enough to let Arsenal let their star player leave in January.
