Olivier Giroud will miss this weekend’s North London derby against Spurs following the injury he picked up playing for France last week in a meaningless friendly.

In better news Danny Welbeck and Shkodran Mustafi are to have late fitness tests ahead of the game against the two time league champions (1951 and 1961).

The two players have been missing for weeks now and with the frailty of Laurent Koscielny and with Giroud out, these are two players Arsene Wenger would love to welcome back. Alex Iwobi will also face a late test as he is yet to come back from his international trip, Nigeria coming from two goals down to beat Argentina, with Iwobi himself grabbing two goals.

Calum Chambers is back in the squad, and in much better news Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey are both fit and ready to play despite injury scares while also away on meaningless friendly duty over the past two weeks.

In incredible unexpected news coming out of the Spurs camp, pretty much ALL of their players who shied off of international duty have made FULL recoveries – what are they feeding them at White Hart Lane? Unless that is, they were never injured in the fir— anyway, what a shocker that is…
