The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsene Wenger is set to snub Man City’s advances for Alexis Sanchez in favour of a swap deal with PSG to land long term target Julian Draxler.
As you know (Zzzz…) Man City, yadda yadda, Thomas Lemar, etc etc, last minute whatever… …and it didn’t happen and now Man City are said to be keen to come back in for the player in January.
Arsene Wenger is said to be considering cashing in on the player for around a £30m, not bad for a player with just months left on his current deal, but the Frenchman would much prefer to receive a world class player in return to rescue our already ailing season.
Draxler should be in the shop window this weekend as Germany face England in a friendly on Friday night, so we can have a quick look at the player who has been linked to Arsenal even longer than Stephen Appiah. Mesut Ozil was seen basically persuading him to join yesterday at an Adidas event, or at the very least featuring in a contractually obliged photograph for thousands of pounds.
Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are the two other high-profile players who could leave at the end of the season, with the club seemingly not in any rush to try and secure their services – what a mess.
Sort it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhht!
