In form playmaker Nabil Fekir is the player everyone seems to be after after scoring an amazing 12 goals in 15 games this season for Lyon, but the player only has eyes for one club; The Arsenal, according to his Dad.
Lyon beat St. Etienne 5-0 at the weekend and Fekir almost caused a riot when he celebrated in front of the St. Etienne fans causing the match to be almost abandoned. He scored the fifth goal for Lyon and took his shirt off in front of the St. Etienne Ultras, bad move, riot police moved in and Fekir was subbed as a precaution to avoid more unrest.
This would be another easy rumour as we have been linked with him before and he’d be a perfect shoe in for replacing Ozil or Sanchez but there’s more to it than that. Football London claim that he’s great friends with Alexandre Lacazette who could help to engineer a move and also on Football London, Fekir’s father has said that the player yearns for a move to Arsenal and will move away from France to find his next club, ruling out a move to PSG:
“Nabil would like to finish 1st or 2nd and play Champions League football with Lyon, if he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It’s the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench…”
Interesting but could just be his Dad trying to raise his profile using Arsenal as a step to do so, he’s a more than tidy player so let’s hope not.
