Despite making just three substitute appearances in the league this season, Arsene Wenger doesn’t want Theo Walcott to leave.

Rumours afoot that Theo is unhappy with his playing time at the club and wants to get back to playing regularly but Wenger is only using him for cup games at the moment and his form this season has been disappointing to say the least despite bagging three goals in five games.

Ex-pro’s and pundits (and me) have all been saying that Theo needs to be off of the Arsenal wage bill due to his recent frustrating performances on the field, typified by his poor showing against Norwich in the League Cup in midweek, but Wenger clearly has other ideas.

He’s quoted in the Daily Mail as saying:

“I do not want Theo to move on, his time in the Premier League will come. At the moment he has got less minutes in the Premier League than other competitions…”

After beating Norwich in the week we now face Swansea City at The Emirates this weekend as we look to close the gap on the top sides and Spurs, who were dumped out of the league cup after being 2-0 up against West Ham and then now face Manchester United without Arsenal U9’s reject Harry Kane.
