According to Sky Sports Germany’s transfer rumour page, we are said to be keeping tabs on the future of Marco Reus as it was announced that he could leave when his current contract with Borussia Dortmund expires in 2018.

League Cup news. Ospina out.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Reus is quoted as saying:

“There are four or five international clubs who interest me. On May 31st next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different…”

Like Santi Cazorla and his ankle, Reus is said to be out until next year with an ACL injury so nothing is likely to happen just yet and the Dortmund Sporting Director (and part time intergalactic villain) Michael Zorc said:

“We see Marco with us in the long run…”

It’s easy to see the player as a ready made replacement for Alexis Sanchez, but whether or not Arsene Wenger would be willing to take a chance on a 30 year old injury prone player remains to be seen. Manchester United are also said to be keeping tabs on the player with Jose Mourinho’s chequebook at the ready, no doubt.
