Jack Wilshere is another player who has the end in sight of his current contract. Jack, Alexis and Mesut Ozil are all heading into their final year and all of them could leave for free at the end of the season.

The three players have all been quiet about staying (or leaving) but should we lose them all, this would leave a huge hole in our squad and no money coming in to use to replace them.

The Daily Mail report that Arsenal are waiting for him to prove his injury nightmare is behind him before offering him an extension and that Chelsea and Manchester City are circling to see if they can pry him away from Arsenal should there be no new deal put forward.

Wilshere spent most of last season at Bournemouth where he played really well for The Cherries until his broke his leg towards the end of the season before heading back to Arsenal.

He is yet to start a league game this season for us but his comeback gathers pace with man of the match performances in the League Cup and Europa League. He also came on as sub yesterday during our win over Everton, he was also set to come on last weekend against Watford but Koscielny’s injury meant he put his training top on and didn’t appear.

Along with City and Chelsea, Everton, Roma and West Ham have also shown an interest in the past, and it’s thought he’d prefer a move to his boyhood club West Ham should Arsenal not offer a new deal.
