Jack Wilshere last night turned on an absolute masterclass for Arsenal as we nicked all three points at the death thanks to an audacious overhead kick from Olivier Giroud.
Wilshere, Walcott and Giroud combined with just 5 minutes to go to set up Giroud for an overhead kick worthy of winning any game, and we are now top of the group with 9 points from 9.
With a makeshift XI containing Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Theo Walcott we played really well and the game looked like it was heading for a 0-0 draw that both sides would have been happy with. However, with a 1-2 between Wilshere and Walcott, turning back the clock, Oli G turned the ball in with an overhead sweeping volley to break Serbian hearts and earn us all three points.
Most of the plaudits this morning are lauding over Jack Wilshere, who must be in line for a Premier League start soon after than vintage performance. Wilshere was making space and spraying the ball around like a peak Eboue and really needs to be given a chance given our poor start to the league season.
