Europa League – Red Star Belgrade v Arsenal – BT Sport, Thursday 19th October 2017, KO 6pm UK time

We head to Belgrade this week for our third Europa League game after entertaining wins away at BATE Borisov and a home win during a dramatic night at The Emirates against FC Koln whose fans almost literally bought the house down.

We are top of our group and despite of the hostile atmosphere in Serbia, we should have enough to overcome the threat of the Serbs – on the pitch at least.

Quick reminder to you Arsenal fans that the game kicks off a bit earlier than usual, with a 6pm kick off on BT Sport – betting odds on Red Star v Arsenal here.

David Ospina would be expected to replace Cech in goal, despite the Colombian’s haphazard performances for his country recently which indirectly cost Alexis Sanchez’s country a place in the World Cup playoffs.

In terms of injuries, Wenger needs to keep one eye on the Everton game this coming Sunday as we can’t afford another nightmare result away from home.

Remember Goodison Park was one of the games last season where the wheels started to fall off. In fairness, this season it feels like the wheels have already fallen off, the doors blown up and we’re looking down a massive flower which is about to squirt us in the face with water, getting our huge red shoes soaked.

With Mustafi out, Koscielny’s dodgy ankle, Welbeck now out along with Santi Cazorla let’s hope we can welcome back some fringe players like Francis Coquelin and Calum Chambers to at least make up the numbers ahead of a crippling schedule.

Wenger’s chosen side will no doubt be another mix up, with Wilshere, Walcott, Oli G all expected to feature, but it’s yet to be seen which youngsters will be drafted in to give the more senior players a break ahead of the Everton game less that 3 days later and the League Cup game at home to Norwich just TWO days after that.
