After yesterday’s dismal performance and result, yet more misery is being heaped on us poor Arsenal fans.

Danny Welbeck and Laurent Koscielny both limped off during the game and are set for further time on the sidelines.

Welbeck had only just returned from a hip injury picked up during our best result of the season, a 0-0 draw at Chelsea (which tells you all you need to know about the rest of the season so far).

He pulled up what looks like a hamstring problem, which is usually 3-4 weeks out of action meaning he will miss several important games with Everton, Spurs and Man City all coming up.

Wenger said via The Daily Express:

“It looks to be a hamstring with Welbeck, I don’t really know because everybody is shocked in the dressing room [about the Watford result]. It looks a muscular problem…”

Koscielny also limped off during the game, he was a doubt before the game with a persistent ankle problem but somehow passed a late fitness test and played most of the game, Wenger offered an update on this injury too:

“Koscielny is a muscular problem as well…”

The blows just keep on coming right now.

With Mustafi out of action for 6 weeks, this new Koscielny blow will mean we will be short at the back once again, with Mertesacker and Rob Holding our only fit centre backs.

Anyone know if Gabriel is busy these days?
