Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has given the latest news on Danny Welbeck’s injury and it’s good news for all Arsenal fans.

The French tactician revealed that Welbeck will be available for this weekend match away at Watford and admitted he was shocked at the rate in which he has recovered.

Wenger said yesterday morning via the club’s official website:

“He is available for selection again, he is a bit quicker than expected…”

The England international got the injury in the match between Chelsea and Arsenal on 17th September at Stamford Bridge when he pulled up with a groin issue and hasn’t played since for Arsenal and missed out for England during their last few World Cup qualifying games.

The 26-year-old striker will be hoping to get back to full fitness quickly and fight to get back into the Arsenal starting XI so he can book his place on the plane for Russia 2018 with England.

He has contributed three goals and one assist already in the Premier League prior to his injury and will be hoping to add to that tally this weekend.

Arsenal travel to Watford in the late Saturday kick off and will be hoping to make it another win and close the gap on the teams above us in the league. The Hornets defeated Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in an absolutely disastrous evening last season but lost 2-0 at Vicarage Road so Welbeck and Arsenal will be hoping for another three points.
