The rumours about Sanchez leaving Arsenal have not stopped and there seems to be no sign of him signing a new deal. He continues to be linked to Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain amongst others and Arsene Wenger yesterday admitted he could leave as early as January.
According to a report by Talksport, Paris Saint Germain are willing to negotiate a swap deal involving Julian Draxler to try to land our best player.
Draxler has long been on Arsenal’s radar since his time at Schalke 04 and since joining PSG in January 2016 from Wolfsburg, the German has had a very good start to life at Paris, but the summer arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar ultimately reduced his playing time so he would be very interested in a move to London. With such huge transfer fees, both Mbappe and Neymar will have to play ahead of Draxler and as a result he has started just four of their nine matches in all competitions this term.
As a result of this, Talksport are now reporting that a swap deal could well happen between Arsenal and PSG, with Sanchez heading to Paris and Draxler coming to London as early as January.
It now seems all but certain that Sanchez will leave Arsenal but his destination is the only uncertainty, and according to the media it’s a straight choice between Manchester City and PSG so if Arsenal could get a replacement in the form of Julian Draxler I think most Arsenal fans would be happy with the departure of everyone’s favourite sulky Chilean.
