Arsene Wenger has confirmed that we will be without Shkodran Mustafi for SIX (CAPITALS) weeks following the injury that he picked up in international duty.

Laurent Koscielny will have a late fitness test on his ankle ahead of the game which kicks off at 5:30pm on Saturday night, live on BT Sport. Wenger has said the Frenchman is in training so things are looking good but he will have a test on Friday.

Kolasinac remains a doubt after also picking up a knock on international duty, injuring a hip as Bosnia failed to secure a World Cup final berth but whether just shrugs off his injury and plays anyway remains to be seen (he will).

Watford team news and other game stats here…

In some rare good news, it looks like Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck will return after their injury troubles, Ozil has had knee inflammation and Danny Welbeck was injured during our 0-0 draw away at Chelsea. Possible line-up…

Alexis Sanchez is also another doubt as Wenger plans to assess his physical and mental state after his World Cup disappointment this week. Chile also failed to secure their place in the World Cup next summer after losing to Brazil.

According to Reuters, Wenger wants a chat with Sanchez to see how he is after his emotional trip:

“I will have to speak to him, I watched the whole game [Brazil against Chile] to see how difficult the game was and I must say he got some special treatment in this game. It was a very physical game. Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow…”

No doubt the player will be chomping at the bit to play, so we’ll see what Sir Wenger decides, more on that as we get it…
