Long time Arsenal target, Marco Reus is set to cause a transfer tussle between the Gunners and Italian giants Inter Milan with the two clubs set to go head to head for the services of the German international, according to Transfermarketweb.

Reus, 28, who has 29 international caps for his country, has not started a game as yet in the 2017/18 season due to an injury sustained last season but will be hoping for a quick return to first team action which, like our very own Santi Cazorla has been pencilled in for early next year.

Reus has an amazing goalscoring record with 89 goals in 189 appearances for Dortmund and as he fights his way back from this latest injury, it’s thought this could be the end of his career at Signal Iduna Park.

With reports persistently linking him to a move to Serie A, Inter Milan are said to want to have him on their books come January but Arsenal are not out of the running just yet for the winger.  Dortmund are said to be pricing him at around €40m with less than two years left on his contract it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will be tempted to make a move.

Arsenal have been in blistering form in September ahead of this international break winning three of their four games and drawing with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The latest win coming against Brighton and Hove Albion at The Emirates last weekend. This weekend we are back to the Premier League and face an in-form Watford side at Vicarage Road in the Saturday evening game, kicking off at 5:30pm. AW will have a mini injury crisis at the back to deal with on the back of the news that centre back Shkodran Mustafi could be out for a while.
