Arsenal’s Welsh midfielder, Aaron Ramsey is in the news again and it’s not an injury problem for a change, but a new boot deal. Ramsey, who has started the new campaign on a good note, winning man of the match in the game against Chelsea has made a shock move from being sponsored by New Balance and moving to Adidas.

Reports on 101 Great Goals suggest that the 26 year old Welshman remains under contract with New Balance as he is yet to go public with the switch to Adidas despite wearing Adidas boots for Wales this weekend.

Ramsey’s influence and importance in the Arsenal team has been growing every day with him being one of the longest serving players at the Emirates Stadium and integral to our recent FA Cup wins. He still has a starring role for Wales, who are within touching distance of the Russia 2018 World Cup after winning 1-0 in Georgia over the weekend.

They now play the Republic of Ireland tonight in Cardiff without Gareth Bale, but as long as Ramsey’s new boots are firing, the Welsh side should make it to their first World Cup for almost 60 years. After that let’s hope he can transfer his good international form back to The Emirates when he returns this week ahead of our game at Watford on Saturday night where we will be hoping to make up some further ground on the sides above us in the Premier League.
