David Ospina went from hero to zero last night as he made two late errors to put Colombia’s World Cup place in serious doubt.

Colombia had fought to go one up after Falcao’s late strike and would have qualified had they won, however, Ospina made two late mistakes and they lost 2-1 meaning they now need to win their last game against Peru to qualify for Russia.

Arsene Wenger continues to trust Ospina as our cup keeper, and backup to Petr Cech but this will surely not do the South American any favours for club nor country and let’s hope those crazy Colombians have chilled out a bit since this happened. Eek!

Alex Sanchez on the other hand had a great night for Chile as they won 2-1 to put Chile up to third in the same South American qualifying group. Sanchez scored a late winner as Chile beat Ecuador 2-1. The top four qualify, but we could still lose Sanchez for a week or two as Chile could still face an energy sapping play off against New Zealand should they not get a result in their last game against Brazil in Sao Paulo.

There are rumours in today’s news that Sanchez is refusing to talk about a new deal sparking fresh rumours that he could be on the move at the end of the season.

This is on top of the news that Theo could leave, and Mesut Ozil could join Mourinho at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, at Wembley … Poor Ox…

Stupid interlull.
