Former Chelsea and PSG defender Alex has advised Lucas Moura to move from PSG to Arsenal when the January transfer window opens.
Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League table, with just goal difference separating them from Chelsea in fourth place and Arsenal find themselves on a good run, while the teams around us are playing each other in coming weeks so our comeback could be complete.
Over the recent years, injury woes have always stood as a stumbling block to Arsenal lifting the Premier League title with Spanish international Santi Cazorla currently injured and not expected back until the new year.
The injuries to Cazorla, Mesut Ozil(!) and Danny Welbeck now make it look like it could be another one of those seasons and Wenger is keeping tabs on some players that he could use to possibly fill the void left by our latest mini-injury crisis and contract expiry confusion.
The latest report in The Evening Standard claim Moura has been advised by Chelsea hero Alex to join Arsenal, Luca joined PSG in the window of 2012 season but has now fallen out of favour at the club and he is struggling to cement a first team place in the La Liga giant’s squad.
Alex, who played along Lucas at PSG is quoted by L’Equipe via The Evening Standard as saying:
“I would like to see him at Arsenal, they play cleaner football, more technical. He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter.”
Lucas netted 19 goals in all competition for PSG last season, which is an amazing stat for a midfielder in such a good side.
