According to The Independent, Manchester United are set to move in January to land Mesut Ozil.
Jose Mourinho is said to be confident on landing our superstar player after working together at Madrid in 2010 and it looks like despite the player saying he’d like to stay in London that he could be moving on in January after all.
Mourinho would love nothing more than signing one (or both) of our best players to get one over on his old adversary Wenger, the two managers have a history of mind games and downright dislike and this would certainly be one in the eye for Wenger.
Ozil’s contract expires in the summer, and along with his team mate Alexis Sanchez its looking increasingly likely that both players will engineer a move away from The Emirates at the end of the season with no signs of a new deal for either player.
Jack Wilshere IS reportedly to be offered a new four year deal ‘this year’ according to reports, but it doesn’t look like an agreement will be reached with Ozil and Sanchez meaning Arsene Wenger will have a serious rebuilding job on his hands next season.
With the news of a bid by Wiggy to buy Usmanov’s shares this week our club could be in one hell of a mess very, very soon.
