England midfielder Jack Wilshere has held talks with Arsene Wenger and it’s thought that despite a rocky few months, Wenger has said the player does have a future at the club.

Reports claim today that Wilshere has been offered a new four year deal to extend his stay at Emirates – his current contract will expire next summer.

The 25 year old has been plagued with injuries throughout his career, his loan spell at Bournemouth last season was cut short by a leg break, but this season Jack is back and seemingly stronger than ever.

According to reports in The Daily Mirror the club and player are hoping to reach an agreement on his future by the end of the year and if his form continues he could even make the World Cup squad if he can remain injury free.

Wilshere’s comeback continues and he has been impressive this season and played well in the League Cup and Europa League and was arguably the best player on the pitch against BATE Borisov last week during our 4-2 win on the road.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has not only offered Wilshere an extension to his deal, but has also said that he has never lost faith in the midfielder’s ability and fully expects him to play an important role in the senior team this term.

Wilshere is one of the players that has come through the Arsenal youth system, and as a true Arsenal man, has been backed by many Arsenal supporters and if a deal can be agreed, this could be timely boost for the club especially with other ‘star’ players seemingly heading for the exit door for free at the end of the season. The likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are already being linked with a move away from Emirates last summer.
