After last week’s fun and games in the Europa League, its back to League Cup action for Arsene’s men as we prepare to face League One side Doncaster Rovers in the third round.
Since Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain left, we haven’t lost, with a vital away point last weekend away at Chelsea and a win against Cologne, we are on a bit of an unbeaten run and the lads will be hoping to keep this going tonight.
Arsene Wenger has chosen a VERY strong side with Alexis starting alongside Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere also gets a rare start as he powers his way back from injury.
Ospina is preferred as cup keeper for what should be an exciting encounter at The Emirates tonight.
Arsenal:
Ospina, Chambers, Mertesacker, Holding, Wilshere, Elneny, Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Walcott, Alexis, Giroud
Subs: Macey, Monreal, Willock, Dasilva, Iwobi, Nketiah, Akpom
After this game it’s back to Premier League action with West Brom at The Emirates next Monday night. Hopefully with a decent rest, all of our walking wounded will be fighting fit with the exception of Santi Cazorla and Danny Welbeck who still remain on the sidelines long term.
COYR!
