After last week’s disastrous defeat at Stoke, and Sanchez and Koscielny’s return you could have been forgiven for feeling a little optimistic about our trip to Anfield despite recent visits.

However, things didn’t quite turn out the way we’d planned. If you want a punt on Arsenal getting top four, or even relegation at this rate then check out the best online casinos at NettiCasino Suomi .

After watching about 10 minutes of the game, you could have been forgiven for fearing the worst. Only, it got much worse, and worse and worse as we fell to another hefty defeat against Klopp’s men.

Liverpool themselves hadn’t had the best of starts with a slim defeat against Palace and a draw with Watford, so it wasn’t like we had anything to fear, but we just fell apart once again.

Players being played out of position, no game plan, horrible defending, you name it, we did it as we always seem to at Anfield these days. We haven’t had a win there since 2012, and despite getting this game out of the way early in the season, we got nothing out of the fixture and frankly that was more than we deserved.

Goals from Firminho, Mane, Sarah and Sturridge saw us crumble to yet another defeat on the road, and with a visit to Stamford Bridge in coming weeks, this season could almost be a write off before the kids go back to school.

Unless that is, that Arsene Wenger has something up his magic sleeve in the two days which remain of the transfer market, and then we get 3 points at home against Bournemouth in 2 weeks time and somehow get something out of the Chelsea game.

The only saving grace is that there is an international break on the horizon, something which would usually fill us with dread, but perhaps this is what we need to take stock and for the players and Arsenal Wenger to hug things out. There can’t be too many players who are confident about this season after our poor start but perhaps its time to rally round the manager and make sure things don’t get any worse.

Add our poor points tally and shocking league position to the news that the ineffective Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected an offer from Chelsea and could now be off to Liverpool in the coming days, and the news that Mustafi could also be off to Milan, our season is literally in disarray before its even started.

Rumours are rife that  Sanchez is still pushing through a move and has asked for time off from Chile duty to work things out, although the Chile President has denied this is the case.

Also, absolutely dire and dour replacements are said to be coming in the guise of Johnny Evans and Raheem Sterling meaning most Arsenal fans are suicidal right now, and that’s just the positive ones.
Roll on August. (2018).
