Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future is in disarray as it appears the player has done a U-turn on his move to Chelsea, and it now seems he wants to move to Liverpool instead. This chaotic turn of events sums up his Arsenal career perfectly, running very fast into a move, and then choosing to change his mind at the last minute to make a baffling decision. With just one day left of the transfer window, this could even mean he stays at Arsenal, be interesting to see how many Arsenal fans give him a cheer next time he dons the red and white shirt.
This move, should it go through would increase Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League, and reduce ours if we don’t replace him. If you want to bet for the new season, make sure you find the best football betting website which will suggest which casinos are the best for that.
With an injury record longer than Darren Anderton, a goal scoring average of 1.5 goals a season and a tendency (like his team mate Theo Walcott) to dribble down blind alleys, the money could well come in handy as its thought that Stan Kroenke’s wife needs a new white horse and Stan need a new wig/ranch.
There are not too many Arsenal fans who would be too upset to see him go but the timing of the sale will definitely raise a few eyebrows given there are just two days to reinvest the cash in new players and we are seemingly strengthening our rivals, not sure we can even say that the way things are right now.
The summer transfer window closes on Thursday and in that time, it looks like we need to replace Chamberlain, Mustafi (if the rumours are true which I personally doubt) and potentially, and most importantly Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean, who is said to be a target now for Man City could be part of an ambitious swap deal and players such as Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling are said to be makeweights. These players could well be on their way to Arsenal to replace Sanchez, who in my opinion is irreplaceable for us.
The players sorely needed are on top of a replacement for Santi Cazorla who’s comeback seems to be a carrot on a stick as far as him playing again goes and even Petr Cech who fails to impress week in week out in goal.
Back to ‘The Ox’, not my favourite player by any means, but someone who tries hard and can play in many positions, Oxlade could still do a job for us, but him, Theo, Coquelin, even Ramsey to a point have had their day at The Emirates. If he wants to spend this season earning over a million pounds a month, then good luck, I am glad to get you off the books, another overrated player who has failed to deliver at Arsenal but seems to earn the plaudits especially now he’s on the move.
In other news, it looks like Kieran Gibbs is off to West Brom, with just the formalities to finalise on a four year deal after he passed a medical and agreed terms yesterday.
On top of this, loan moves for Carl Jenkinson and Woijech Sczesney also moving on, the thinning out of the squad continues without any incoming which will anger many Arsenal fans who seem to be losing faith in the manager by the day.
