According to a report on French site, Le Parisien, Kylian Mbappé could yet still join Arsene Wenger at Arsenal according to someone ‘near to him’.

They claim that his target is to sign for Real or Barcelona before he is 22, but could yet use Arsenal or even PSG as a stepping stone to this goal, maybe as soon as the summer. His recent club and international form has led to him being pursued by a host of Europe’s biggest clubs, the report says:

“Kylian is thinking that either he goes through an intermediate club, or goes directly to a big club, but his goal is clear: sign for one of the two biggest clubs in the world, Real or Barca before he is 22 years old…”

They also claim that the fact that Arsenal are not in next season’s Champions League is not an obstacle which might stand in the way of a move to join Arsenal, and they (who ever they might be) sound keen on letting him join up with Arsene Wenger for next season’s Europalution:

“If tomorrow, Kylian sign for Arsenal, it will be for him (Arsene Wenger). He can shape the young and especially old forwards (from) the French team, like Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka. The Europa League is not an obstacle in itself…”

Monaco apparently rejected a bid of around £85m according to the Telegraph, however this was placed around the same time as the season ticket renewals and membership payments were due, but I’m sure this was just a mere coincidence that this news came out at the same time.
