Reports on Sky Sports claim that Arsenal have opened talks with KAS Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru.

The news outlet reported earlier this week that the North Londoners made a crucial step to sign the in-demand Nigerian after a brilliant performance this term in the Belgium League.

It thought that the top scorer’s dazzling footwork has caught the attention of a couple of clubs in the Premier League, with the likes of Southampton and Everton also showing a keen interest in landing him, but it’s thought that Arsenal have already open talks and it appears we could be set to activate the £6.8million release clause in the Nigerian’s contract.

He has managed to net 24 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for KAS Eupen, and also created 9 assists.

However, this one may need to be taken with a pinch of salt and we’ll have to wait and see what happens when the transfer window opens, he was previously linked with a £1m move to Celtic, but he may be in line for a move to the Premier League after such a great season in Belgium.
