Arsenal and Everton face off on Sunday at Emirates Stadium in what promises to be an important game for the Gunners. Arsene Wenger’s side need to win and hope that Liverpool and Man City lose/drop points to see them quality for the Champions League next season.

Arsene Wenger has never lost at home to Everton, so the odds are on Arsenal’s side.

GK:

Petr Cech should start this one, Ospina will most likely return for the Cup Final next weekend but Cech has played in most league games so it’s expected that he will start once more against Everton.

Defence:

Wenger might have to lure players in when the window opens to bolster our defence, Laurent Koscielny should pair up with Mustafi in the defence, but Wenger could decide to go with three at the back to rest Kos ahead of the Chelsea clash next weekend.

Spanish international Hector Bellerin should start in the defence and hope to cause damage against Everton, while at left back, Nacho Monreal should offer balance as Wenger looks to win the match to put pressure on City and Liverpool.

Midfield:

Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka should get the nod in the pivot, but players will be looking to halt Everton’s attack and continue with their good cop-bad cop role, as Xhaka is a destroyer, while the Wales international will do a great job in dominating the midfield. I think Danny Welbeck is very likely to come in for Alexis Sanchez because Wenger will like to rest him as well. Welbeck will be alongside Mesut Ozil.

Attack:

Olivier Giroud should come in for this time, as his aerial presence will threaten Everton’s defence. the French hitman has come in for a lot of stick this season, and is fighting for his future at the Emirates.

So, we have it all to do, and we’ll all be Middlesbrough and Watford fans when Sunday comes around – you never know!
