Monaco has reportedly completed the signature of Arsenal target Youri Tielemans in a record-breaking deal with Anderlecht, accord to a report in The Sun.

The news outlet claim that the Ligue one giant sealed the deal for the 20-year-old ace for about £21.2million, which is the highest ever fee for a player from the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

It’s thought that the midfielder finally chose the Ligue 1 club after snubbing offers from Chelsea, with Arsenal also showing a keen interest too.

Tielemans’ recent performances have been scintillating, and he is now the clear favourite to win the Belgian Golden Shoe after netting 17 goals and 10 assists.

Much has been expected of the Belgium international since he broke into Anderlecht first team when he was just 16-year-old, where he also added to his name three international caps for his national team side. Tielemans’ Anderlecht are currently second in the league, and will be going head to head with their rivals Club Brugge on Sunday so it is yet to be seen if they can win the league.
