Arsenal target Alvaro Morata has reportedly told La Liga giant’s Real Madrid that he will be joining Chelsea this summer, according to report from Daily Star.

The Spanish international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal seemingly the favourites to land him, but now it looks like Chelsea are now in the driving seat to seal the deal.

A report from The Daily Star last week claims Manchester United have approached the striker’s representatives, but the latest report claims Morata has confirmed he will be departing from Madrid to Chelsea and soon as the summer transfer window opens.

It’s thought that the 24-year-old forward has become frustrated at Real, as he featured in very few matches this season due to Karim Benzema. However he featured in 13 La Liga games for Real, but still managed to score 20 goals in all competitions, not a bad return.

Arsenal and Manchester United will now have to look elsewhere as it looks like the Spaniard has made his decision to join the EPL Champions, strengthening a squad which is already the best in the country.  Sigh………
