Reports from The Independent this week, claim that out-in-the-cold superstar keeper Wojciech Szczęsny could well be in line for a summer return to The Emirates after it was revealed that the shot stopper won’t be stopping at Roma next season.

The Italian outfit are already searching for a high profile number one, despite some amazing performances from Szczęsny this season, and it seems as though the Polish keeper will return to Arsenal to fight Petr Cech for the number one shirt. This move, if true would also cast a doubt over the future of David Ospina, who has recently come back from injury after deputising well for the injured Cech last month.

Cech himself has also been less than convincing on occasion this term, his free kick and penalty work called into question, and at 35 years old, it could be time to replace him, perhaps with a rejuvenated Szczesny.

It’s also thought that several other Premier League teams have been keeping tabs on the smoking Pole, so his future is definitely going to be decided this summer one way or the other. Personally, I feel like most areas of our squad need an overhaul, and perhaps its time to give Szczęsny a first team chance.
