With the opening of the summer transfer window drawing ever nearer as the season comes to a close, Manager Arsene Wenger is already setting his sights on players who can help with the reinforcement of his (or someone else’s) squad ahead of next season.

Wenger has already been linked with a lot of players but the report in the media claims that a deal for Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac is looking increasingly likely, this report The Metro further reported that the defender is set to decide on his future this week.

The 23-year-old superstar has been so far brilliant this season and his solid defensive performances have caught the attention of the likes of AC Milan and Manchester City, but Arsenal look to be in the driving seat for a deal.

The Bosnian defender is now a free agent after letting his contract with the Bundesliga outfit run down, and many elite clubs around Europe have been showing a great interest in signing him this summer.

Although a move away from the club has not been sealed, Arsenal fans including me are all hopeful he will finalise a move to join Arsenal, the report from The Metro claims that the ace will make his final decision on his future this week.

Wenger’s squad could use some improvements on the left side of defence, with the likes of Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal inconsistent for most of the season, and every Gooner out there including me will be happy to see Wenger moving quickly and doing some serious business in the transfer market after what has been yet another disastrous league season. This leaves our only chance of silverware this term being another visit to Wembley where we play Chelsea in the FA Cup Final.
