Despite Arsene Wenger’s best efforts at denying there was a deal in place for Bosnian left back Sead Kolasinac, The Sun claim the deal is all but done.
They claim that the player passed a medical and agreed terms when he was recently in London ahead of a free transfer from Schalke. His contract expires on the 30th of June, and they claim he will arrive at The Emirates immediately after that on a four year deal.
The 23 year old has been watched by Chelsea and Juventus recently, but he’s chosen to come to Arsenal, which could spell the end of the road for Keiran Gibbs, and would mean Nacho Monreal loses his first team place if the deal gets done.
This is thought to be the first step in a huge squad rebuild over the summer, with uncertainty over the manager’s future, along with many first team players including Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, and many others whose contracts expire next summer.
Next up for our stuttering superstars is a tricky FA Cup semi-final this weekend against Man City at Wembley, where the winners will play the winners of the other semi-final, Chelsea v Spurs.
