What with the Easter holidays, bank holidays and the overhanging threat of World War III, its been a busy week at ArsenalShorts Towers.

We’ve been building the best underground shelter money can buy, designed by Vik Akers, in case of the inevitable, and Spurs claw back those 4 points. Only positive I can think of is that Chelsea have a slightly easier run in with more home games than Spurs, however, I’d say the momentum is with Tottenham, and this could be even more so should they knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup in this weekend’s first semi-final at Wembley.

Anyway, what has the world come to, when we are hoping for another Chelsea title win? Eugh. Let’s hope Trump, John Un etc make it quick, and make it before mid-May if Chelsea do Spurs it.

Anyway, speaking of Wembley, we have our own date with destiny, well Man City, this Sunday afternoon in our very own FA Cup semi-final. According to the media, the winner is simply booking a Cup Final date to lose to either Spurs or Chelsea, so that’s nice for us both anyway.

Mustafi and Ospina are both out, along with bench warmer Lucas Perez, who will all miss the game and there is a doubt over Welbeck as well according to Le Boss.

Wenger also mentioned Jack Wilshere this morning, who’s injury isn’t as bad as first thought. He should be back in training in July, and WILL be offered a new contract with Arsenal despite his latest setback, whether his time at Arsenal is done is up to Jack himself who rarely talks about Arsenal any more, so my feelings are that he will do one, once he’s fixed.

Le Boss also did his usual wry smile when quizzed about Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac. He denied we were in for him, but didn’t convince anyone, so he could be our first summer signing IF Wenger stays.

More later, and if you want £50’s worth of protein and other stuff in a goodie bag, see here, take a guess at where the egg is hidden and please email arsenalshorts@gmail.com ASAP! The first one to guess correctly wins the prize as no one guessed the correct score v Middlesbrough!
