Latest report in The Express claims that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be putting pen to paper on a new deal at The Emirates and they reckon he has already begun preparation ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The French manager is willing to commit his future to Arsenal with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, many Arsenal fans has been calling for Wenger to be sacked, but it now seems their request will be turned down as the French manager is now been offered a new deal.

The news outlet confirms Wenger wants to remain with Arsenal for another year or two and at the same time he is looking to bring Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel to The Emirates as a replacement for Petr Cech with a decision still to be made on David Ospina’s future.

Schmeichel’s performances this term, and especially last season have been nothing short of brilliant, with 10 clean sheets to his name in all competitions for Leicester.

In an interview with BeIN Sports yesterday, Arsene Wenger said:

“The information is that I do not have any information to give. Regardless of how long I stay, I will be devoted and completely concentrated as long as I stay at the club for. In terms of how long is left, that is not important. I will always bring myself to do the best for the club. At the moment, we are dealing with a difficult period in terms of results and it is important to concentrate on ourselves to do better again. When you take time to reflect and to put things into perspective you see that we have two games in hand to play and a cup semi-final to prepare for. Our season will be decided by the way in which we respond to this difficult period…”
