Arsene Wenger will need to spend big this summer if he remains at The Emirates whether or not we qualify for the Champions League. Its obvious we need some reinforcements ahead of next season.
The news that German international Mesut Ozil is happy at Arsenal is a nice piece of news in amongst the usual bad news, though its not saying he’s staying, just that he’s happy in London and at Arsenal, his future, like Arsene Wenger’s is up in the air.
It seems as though players are being looked at nice and early, and a report from Football London via L’Equipe claims that we are eyeing move for French international star Corentin Tolisso, who has been rated around £30m.
Tolisso, 22, recently made his desire to play in the Premier League known, and mentioned Arsenal as one of his preferred destinations:
“Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal. I like the Premier League and I think I am well suited to it. It is the league that offers the most competition; it is the most open, the most hard-fought and the most spectacular…”
The French international is a versatile player who can fit in to any position in the midfield which will make a perfect foil for Sanchez’s brilliant finishing and as a bonus, he’s also been used as a centre forward this season as well.
He is mainly a player who plays as a creative central midfielder which could make a perfect replacement for Santi Cazorla who has missed most of this season through injury, the Spaniard targeting next season for his comeback. Tolisso has netted 11 goals and 5 assists in 37 league appearances for his current side Lyon.
