It looks like there is more bad news as we return to Premier League action after a nice week off following our win over Sutton in the FA Cup last week. We had no game this week as we were all set to play Southampton who played in the League Cup final against Manchester United yesterday, losing by a single goal, after having a valid goal wrongly disallowed by the officials which would have put them ahead.
Anyway, the big news is that Andries Jonker is set to leave his post as head of the Arsenal Academy to become head coach of Wolfsburg according to reports.
He already had a spell with the German side, who have apparently bought him out of his Arsenal contract. He also held various roles with the Dutch national side along with spells at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Good old Jonkers is a HUGE ArsenalShorts fan, so we’d like to wish him well with the new job.
