The latest report in The Mirror claims there has been an update on the uncertain future of Arsenal’s pursuit for Real Madrid and Spain international striker Alvaro Morata and it now looks we will miss out on the ace.

We have been linked with a move to land Morata for some time, and Arsene Wenger failed to push ahead for a deal and had to sit and watch as the player returned to Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old has been limited to a place on the bench by the resurgence of  Karim Benzema, and Morata has only featured in six games this season. Reports  are already linking him with a move away from Real Madrid, with Arsenal on the list of the clubs said to be showing a keen interest.

The report also claims that the player himself wants to seal a move to Chelsea after holding a discussion with the blues manager Antonio Conte, the Italian was the man who signed Morata for Juventus when he was still with the Serie A club, so I don’t think it will be too hard for Conte to convince him to join Chelsea.

Well, no one knows the truth behind this report yet so let take this with a pinch of salt and see what happens when the summer transfer window opens, do we even need any more firepower if things stay as they are, and which club do you think Morata will end up at next season?
